“So how’s this work?” Obviously, there are a lot
different ways to get to the finish line. I usually
start with a phone consultation to discuss the needs of
the client.
The types of information I am looking for are:
- what is the purpose of the site
- who do you consider your clients to be
- what are some websites that you like
- do you have a logo, look, colors, fonts that you
would like to see in the site
- what is the overall feeling that you would like to
project
- do you already have the content drafted for the site
- what information do you want on the site
- do you want or need to sell any products on the site
Those are just a few of the questions, mostly I want to
hear what you want and then I’ll ask the questions to
help me pull together your vision.
After I have determined the requirements of your current
or future website, I compile the information into a
quote and email it to you for review. If you have
questions or modifications, we work on that together.
After the quote is accepted then I will draft my
standard contract and email it to you. I require fifty
percent (50%) of the quote amount at commitment and the
remaining balance upon completion. I accept cash,
checks, and Paypal.
After I have a signed contract and down payment, I go to
work at drafting a mock-up of the design. I will then
email you a link to the mock-up. If everything is
acceptable then I go to work at transforming the graphic
to a fully functioning website. Once the layout is
completed then I will start inserting the content you
have already provided.
I need the content, logos, photos and anything else
unique to your website upon contract commitment. This
moves the development along quiet rapidly.
